This Privacy Policy Addendum for users in Japan (“the Addendum”) should be read in conjunction with the LinkedIn Privacy Policy  (“Privacy Policy”), which applies when you use our services. 

As noted in our Privacy Policy, we process data both inside and outside of the United States and rely on legally-provided mechanisms to lawfully transfer data across borders. As described in Help Center resources linked to our Privacy Policy, LinkedIn’s data centers, which store our members’ information, are currently located in the United States.  

Members and Visitors whose data is protected by Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information should refer to the article on the Japanese Personal Information Protection Commission’s website (published only in Japanese) for more information on that Commission’s review of the personal data protection systems for certain countries, including the U.S.
